Nice ability but will just make people lazy lol

Comment by gerakios

Further proof that Hunters are the most awesome class in the game.

Comment by rsabin

A free slot to Engineerings who have Loot-A-Rang in their bags.

Comment by Asgalon

Maybe he can find from a player corpse your Shadowmourne, let's hunt.

Comment by Bekkaboo

As a multiple-hunter, (I level and play a LOT of hunters) I approve of this ability! It'll be exceptionally helpful with those weird mobs that die on the side of a cliff to where you can't reach. I spend around ten minutes figuring out a way to loot them, because I'm very OCD about looting -everything- possible.

Comment by Arcangelbjr

O.M.F.G. Finally.

Comment by 714156

With MoP there will be AoE looting, which means when you loot one in a group, you loot them all. It can be disabled of course.
What I'm wondering is, will this be able to be AoE looted? It would be pretty cool

Comment by Boarwood

Yet Eyes of the Beast was deemed unworthy.

Comment by 629574

Because looting like the rest of us scrubs, is just too mainstream..
/Place bear-trap at corpse.
/Wait

Comment by 951887

THAT IS AWESOME! I hope it looks like the pets are eating the corpses. I don't think it's actually going to help in terms of game play, but it is pretty funny.

Comment by Foxpaw

This makes my rogue sad. Back when every single class was getting an at least temporary companion/guardian except rogues and warriors, I campaigned for a fox/ferret/etc rogues could use to stealthily loot corpses and disarm traps at range. :< Now hunters get it instead.
Fetch

Comment by Guy19

This is a neat novelty, but hows about somethting like Incarnation: King of the Jungle..... i.e. something useful.
*Edit: Huntards indeed...*

Comment by 1026174

Yes, this allows for AoE looting!

Comment by Miranas

Loot-A-Rang style macros apply. My overly complicated adaptation seems to work whether you point at a corpse or just killed it:
#showtooltip Fetch
/use Fetch
/use Fetch
/targetlasttarget
/use Fetch

Comment by 137802

Now we just need to get the pet to skin the beast mobs, I would be happy. :)

Comment by emotionalgoat

This is a pretty neat ability - I especially love the 50 yard range. You have to train yourself to stand still during the fetch, or your pet will loot the corpse and not give you anything. I'm hoping this comes in handy when I kill a mob that I can't reach, but I haven't had an opportunity to test that scenario yet.

Comment by smariemol

Thank you so much! This works awsome!

After using this on my hunter alt, I don't know how I will ever play another class ever again. It AOE loots from far away, and I don't have to do anything but press a button. The ultimate ability for lazy people like me.

Comment by Stalyn

And yet your cat pets cannot skin the beasts.

Comment by Qoko

I see all kinds of macros, but Fetch works just as a 'loot last kill'. I don't really see the need of specifying exactly what to loot, especially with AoE looting. Might have been changed in some patch that I have missed (only playing hunter recently). The standing still is still required but beats walking up to a corpse all the time.

Comment by Grubitsch

Stop trying to make it happen. It's not going to happen.

Comment by infek

So yeah this took me ages to find, it's in the general tab.

Comment by forgottenring

While this is a fun spell, I've found Findle's Loot-A-Rang or any of the loot-a-rangs are easier to use in practice. The problem with fetch is it can bug out and your pet will just stand there if you move before the pet loots. Then you have to cast fetch again wasting time. Also, it is slower because the pet has to run to corpses.

Comment by Kleenexz

It is current 7.0.3 in legion live, and I just picked up fetch on my hunter. While doing the Grisly Grizzlies quest in Tirisfal Glades, I've noted that it seems that your pets are not considered to be on the quest, so they fully loot mobs but you get no quest items.
Anyone else noting similarly?

Comment by SinYin

As of 7.1.5, has anyone else experienced nearby neutral mobs aggro-ing to you when you use the fetch ability? this has happened to me several times now and it really dampens the will to use this ability now. the neutral mob aggro also seems to happen when you use 'mother's skinning knife.'

Comment by Erimus

AKA taunt everything within 40 yards of you.

Comment by Mondoblasto

As of 7.2.0, it no longer aggros you.
On an unrelated matter, I figured out that If you have a pet that's in stealth when you send it out, as long as a mob is not close enough to detect it, the pet will not draw aggro.

Comment by Kaerfemagsh

sucks have to wait til we get to legion to use this, i'd very much like to use this ability while leveling up (pre-legion)

Comment by Shaoz0r

If you're even more lazy than the typical lazy hunter and don't want to wait for your pet to take ages to reach the corpse it's trying to loot, this macro is for you!
Fetch
#showtooltip Fetch
/cast Dash
/cast Fetch

Fetch Pet Food

The macro will make your pet cast Dash and rush to the corpse at blazing speed! When Dash is on cooldown, it'll still work as a normal Fetch button!
Disclaimer: Your pet must be Ferocity or Cunning spec. Sorry, Tenacity pets.

Comment by Originaldeadb0y

I have an issue with Fetch.
If I don't stand still whilst my pet recovers the loot the only effect the spell has is to remove 'lootable sparkles' from the target!
Anyone Else?

Comment by Nivius

Fetch cannot loot 'corpses' that are only there to be looted for a quest. they can only look 'normal' corpses.

Comment by RedwoodRogers

Had this as my Forsaken Hunter, and then, as of the Shadowlands pre-patch, I'm suddenly missing it. Anyone else? Was it removed from the game, and nobody's bothered to update WoWpedia or WoWhead, or is this just some glitch?

Comment by newcross

This adaptation applies the Hunter Mark (which used to give % attack bonus) and instructs the pet to attack the target (if alive). When the target is dead you can simply hit the same button and the pet will Dash to the target and loot the corpse.
The benefit is that simply hitting the macro key will cause an attack and then a near auto fetch.
